Aquatic Therapy is offered in warm-water pools to support rehabilitation through guided exercise and movement. Licensed therapists deliver individualized care and structured instruction tailored to patient needs. The program is integrated with short-term or outpatient rehabilitation services. It improves strength, flexibility, and overall mobility.
Our Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs) deliver comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation for individuals requiring intensive recovery support. We aim to enhance activities of daily living and functional mobility to build independence. An interdisciplinary care team provides coordinated treatment tailored to patient needs. We ensure safe discharge planning that supports return to home and community environments.
Our LTAC services receive patients referred from acute care hospitals following short-term stays. These individuals have complex medical conditions requiring long-term acute and chronic care management. We deliver coordinated treatment for conditions that cannot be quickly addressed in other facilities. Rehabilitation support is provided to assist patients in preparing for discharge to lower levels of care.
Our rehabilitation staff includes physiatrists, physical therapists, speech-language therapists, respiratory therapists, and occupational therapists working together to deliver outpatient care. We offer one-on-one therapy, flexible scheduling, and prompt evaluations to support recovery. Our hospitals feature expansive gyms and therapeutic pools equipped with advanced technology. We also provide real-world training environments and specialized equipment including the AlterG treadmill.
Our Physical Therapy program is centered on restoring movement and improving daily function. We evaluate each patients condition and design a personalized plan of care. Interventions focus on increasing range of motion, enhancing strength, and supporting safe ambulation. We also address pain reduction and provide guidance to promote long-term physical well-being.
We offer Prosthetics & Orthotics services in collaboration with Cornell Orthotics & Prosthetics, emphasizing personalized evaluations and tailored prosthetic and bracing solutions. Our weekly clinics help patients with amputations work toward restored mobility. With coordinated care between Bradford and Westborough, we maintain seamless referrals and multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, and physicians supporting each patient.
We provide pulmonary rehabilitation at accredited acute rehabilitation hospitals within Whittier Health Network. Bradford serves greater Boston and Merrimack Valley; Westborough serves central Massachusetts lung disorder patients. The program improves functional capacity and quality of life for people with lung disorders conditions. Our clinicians coordinate with pulmonologists to ensure evidence-based care, including structured therapy, supervised exercise, education, support, and behavioral intervention services.
Here is my testimonial: "It is not the physical structure of a healthcare facility that is the most important factor to be considered when dealing with people who are in immediate need of rehabilitation. No, it is, without doubt, the healthcare professionals who have dedicated their careers to help others get well. Those professional, including executives, doctors, registered nurses, CNAs, physical and occupational therapist, students as well as custodial workers all played a major role in helping me get home to my surroundings where my rehabilitation will be continued."
Thank you Lisa, my daughter who selected Whittier for my care, and special thanks to the dedicated caregivers who fulfilled their mission to care for patients with love and devotion.
