Dr. Richard Cohn, M.D. - Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Richard Cohn, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained as a glaucoma specialist. Additionally, he specializes in state-of-the-art laser no-stitch cataract surgery and is highly regarded as one of the most skilled cataract surgeons in Central Florida.

Biography

Dr. Cohn attended Tufts University in Boston, where he graduated with honors, and then attended New York Medical College, where he earned his M.D. Degree. He was elected to the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and received the Trustee Scholar Award while in medical school. Dr. Cohn completed his medical internship at Greenwich Hospital, an affiliated hospital of Yale University, and his ophthalmology residency at the Eye and Ear Institute of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then traveled to the University of California, San Francisco, to complete his glaucoma fellowship. Dr. Cohn has been practicing general ophthalmology and glaucoma in Orlando since 1996 and has personally performed over 20,000 cataract and glaucoma surgeries in Central Florida.

Dr. Rima Klimas is an experienced optometrist serving the Orlando area for over 20 years. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University, graduating at the top of her class. After graduation, she completed a hospital-based residency at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico. Dr. Klimas has extensive experience working in pre and post-op surgical care and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She is dedicated to providing quality care to all ages.
