Sturgis Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in the Sturgis community, committed to providing a wide range of outstanding medical solutions and serving as the leading source for primary care and specialty services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional medical assistance through interdependent departments, each bringing valuable contributions to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
Our History
Founded in 1925 with an endowment from the estate of William C. Grobhiser, Sturgis Memorial Hospital was later replaced by a new facility built in 1970, with an expansion completed in 1981. The original Grobhiser building was renovated in 1992 to house physician offices and later remodeled to accommodate specialty clinics and more physician offices. In 2005, we undertook an expansion to remodel and update our surgical facilities. Today, Sturgis Hospital is an 84-bed licensed, acute care facility, serving the Sturgis and surrounding communities.
