Our Story

At Cedar Valley Medical Specialists (CVMS), we have a vision for a healthcare system that is centered around the patient. Our story began in 1995, when a group of dedicated physicians came together to create a unique model for medical care in the Cedar Valley. Our founders were committed to providing high-quality healthcare to the community, and that commitment has remained at the heart of everything we do.

Over the past 28 years, we have grown into a community of skilled medical professionals and specialists, united by our passion for delivering exceptional care. Our team of over 400 staff members includes specialized physicians, advanced practice, and mid-level providers, as well as support staff across dozens of healthcare specialties. We are headquartered in Waterloo, and all of our physicians, clinics, and labs are located in and around the Cedar Valley, allowing us to better serve our entire community.
