Our History

Our hospital has a rich history dating back over a century. Our founder, Wilson N. Jones, was born in the Choctaw Indian territory of Mississippi in 1827 or 1828. He was the son of Choctaw-white parents and was part of a group that was removed to the Territory in 1833. Wilson N. Jones settled in the Little River area in present-day McCurtain County in Oklahoma, where he later became a prominent figure in the community.
